Everyone...
Krysia and I are pleased to announce that the Taste of Kismet is
back. The date has been set for Saturday, September 8th at 6:00 p.m. in the
Fire House so we're hoping that everyone is up for repeat participation. Once
again you should plan on preparing 100 servings of your dish and as was the
case at the past three events, if you volunteer to cook, you will also be
serving and explaining your dish to our guests.
Please email ASAP to confirm that you're in for this year and
explain what you'd like to contribute. We're looking for a mix of appetizer,
entree and desert items with a few beverages also thrown in
We're probably missing a few email addresses so please pass this
message on to anyone you think would be interested in showing off their chef
skills.
Please contact either one of us to bounce around your ideas or
ask questions about logistics
For those who cannot cook, we need volunteers to distribute
flyers, assist with set-up on the day- of, serve beer and wine and help sell
tickets at the door, etc..

Many thanks to all of
this year's participants in the Taste of Kismet. We appreciate
everyone's contributions; whether you helped with set-up, cooked,
served wine and beer, worked the door or sold the 50/50 raffle. It
was a wonderful evening from start to finish and also tremendously
successful. We had the highest ever customer turnout (that's Kismet!)
plus a whole crop of new faces volunteered to contribute a dish or
cocktail. We couldn't have done it without you and look forward to an
even bigger and better event the next time around. All the best,
Joanne and Krysia

It was one of the best
"Tastes" to date: certainly in terms of attendance. While
we were setting up, we were afraid the gloom and rain would keep people
away. Not so! The food hall was packed at 6:01 p.m.
